Windsurf Cascade
connects locally.

Install the local Agent Decision Kit MCP server in legacy Windsurf Cascade and test bounded browser actions against a fake-data page.

01 / Build once

Prepare the source checkout

npm install
npm run build

Keep the absolute checkout path ready. The published npm package is not available yet; when it ships, this setup will be shorter.

02 / Add the server

~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json (commonly documented)

Open Cascade's panel menu → MCPs → Open MCP config file, then refresh the MCP list.

The guide refers specifically to legacy Cascade and its mcp_config.json. It does not imply the same config applies to every Devin-branded agent or execution mode.

Configuration option

Source-checkout server entry

{
  "agent-decision-kit": {
    "command": "node",
    "args": [
      "/absolute/path/to/agent-decision-kit/dist/cli.js",
      "mcp"
    ]
  }
}

03 / Verify

Check the connection

Open the MCPs panel, confirm the server appears, and inspect its tool count before running a page action.

04 / Try a real workflow

Start with sample data

Inspect the local demo's visible controls and click Mark setup task complete. Report the short page change.
